Job Description

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
  • Update and maintain the general ledger
  • Reconciliation of entries into accounting system
  • Record of debits and credits
  • Remote Deposit Management
  • Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
  • Monitor any variances from projected budgets
  • Work closely with the Purchasing/Inventory Manger for budget/inventory management.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Liaise with Owners and Accountant
  • Coordinate Year End Tax Information with Accountant
  • Comply with Federal, State, and Local Legal Requirements by Studying Requirements, Enforce Adherence to Requirements; File Reports; Advise Management on Needed Actions.
  • Study Sales Tax Requirements to understand the laws regarding interstate commerce and how it affects the Company.
  • Sales Tax Filing for 8 states with an Understanding of the Laws Regarding Sales Tax
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents.

  • Payroll Management/Maintain Employee Information
  • Manage Payroll Taxes & Payables
  • Maintain Employee Handbook & Company Information
  • Manage New Hire Documents
  • Understand Compensation and wage structure
  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Manage Benefits Administration ie: Insurance, Simple IRA, etc
  • Up-to-date Awareness of Employment law to comply with reporting requirements

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Proficiency in Quickbooks Enterprise
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Understanding Basic Accounting Practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
